David Cerro is an Exorcist from the Vatican and current wielder of Galatine, which is the Sibling Sword of Excalibur.
Appearance[]
David is a middle-aged man in his mid-thirties of Italian lineage with dark brown hair which is slicked back, as well as a growing beard and mustache. He is seen to be dressed in the typical clothing of an exorcist and priest.
Personality[]
He is shown to be a serious man as shown as he fought against multiple monsters befitting his job as an exorcist, even scolding his student, Freed who made a somewhat vulgar comment that was toward the Archangel, Gabriel. David can also be a bit self-righteous and a stern believer in the Christian Religion, believing that Sacred Gears such as as the Longinus should be under the control over believers in the Church alone.
Despite this, he attacked Mephisto Pheles without warning after seeing him out in the open and had childish goals of defeating him to become like Vasco Strada.

Plot[]
Volume 1[]
David is first shown in Volume 1, where he eliminates a High-class Devil and her peerage. After the exorcism, he meets up with Freed Sellzen and informs him that they are to investigate the circumstances surrounding the Grigori and the Wizards of Oz.
Volume 2[]
David is seen observing the conclusion of the battle between the Slash/Dog Team and Augusta along with Freed, having defeated the remnants of the Utsusemi Agency and other magicians. David decides to take down the Longinus possessors, believing that Sacred Gears should belong solely to the believers of God.

Natural-Born Holy Sword Wielder: David is a natural-born Holy Sword wielder.
Master Swordsman: He is a master swordsman wielding the Holy Sword Galantine able to defeat multiple devils, fallen angels, and evil monsters without injuries.
Equipment[]
Galatine (ガラチン, Garachin): This is one of the Holy Swords and the Sibling Sword of Excalibur. Galatine is said to be an extremely tenacious sword whose blade would never get nicked.[1]

- His first names David comes from multiple origins such as Biblical and Spanish, which means "Beloved" or "Uncle".
- His surname Cerro means "Hill" in Spanish.
